1929 WAPA 16 Electrode Opal Glass High Frequency Machine

A beautiful piece of working history

Fully functional, with a complete set of original opal glass electrodes, this machine is a decidedly uncommon beast these days.

WAPA were a manufacturer who produced machines from the late 1920s until the mid 1930s in Bavaria. They are well known for their quality opal glass electrodes that were offered as an "option".

Opal glass functions in exactly the same way as normal transparent glass, but has an added visual appeal. All of the electrodes in this set are original WAPA, have all been tested and are fully functional. Included are:

Throat Electrode
Nerve Brush Electrode
Prostate Electrode
Nipple Electrode
Ball Tipped Electrode (dental/gums)

The machine has new leads and plugs fitted, has had componentry replaced where necssary, and has been extensively test run. With care and careful use this machine will last many many more years.

Adjustment on these machines is via a knob on the right end of the machine case, which adjusts the spark gap and hence the frequency and intensity of output. It adjusts from very mild to quite intense.

The original case has been cleaned and sealed and sports it's original blue velvet - quite a striking looking machine!

With this machine being nearly a century old, we are the custodians of these machines which have largely vanished from history. Prolonged use at high power is likely to cause overheating issues - these machines should be used on a 10 minute on, 10 minute off duty cycle to avoid damage.
