Vintage "Hermann Grohmann" Violet Wand Set

Survivor set from 1920s pre-WW2 Weimar Genrmany

Fully functional, this 11 electrode set from 1920s Germany will look great in anyone's collection.

From the halcyon Weimar era, when electrical quackery was in it's heyday and these high frequency device were being produced in very large numbers.

Sadly few have survived a century, falling prey to misuse, poor storage and moisture.

This set is fully tested and functional, with new leads and plugs, new insulation where required, and electrical components replaced.

It is housed in its original case - which bears the story of its history with a nice patina. The case has been cleaned and preserved.

All electrodes have been tested and are functional, and include:

Saturator electrode
Small mushroom electrode
Cautery electrode
Tongue electrode (Neon)
Comb electrode
Medium mushroom electrode
Insulated ear electrode
Metal rod electrode
Massage roller electrode (Neon)
Test electrode (Neon)

Neon electrodes glow orange.
We do not recommend use of any metal electrode without using a spark gap for safety and include in this kit only for historical completeness.

The machine itself has rheostat controlled output , which adjusts from zero to reasonably high.

(For the uninitiated, "reasonably high" will 4 or 5 times the output of "Neon" or "Zeus" solid state wand.

This machine is the best part of a century old, and should be treated accordingly. If used sensibly it will provide many more years of use. Duty cycles are best kept at around 10 minutes on/10 minutes off when running at higher power to ensure longevity and continued enjoyment of this piece of working history.
